Buzek, Cicero Pace Penguins at Spiked
Shoe Invitational
State College, Pa. --
Youngstown State senior Nick Buzek
placed 17th to lead the men to a
seventh-place finish while senior
Emily Cicero was 25th for the
11th-place women's squad at the
Spiked Shoe Invitational on
Saturday.
Buzek covered the 5.2 mile course at Penn State in 26:26
while Cicero ran a 6K time of 22:47.
Nick Smith finished second for the men with a 25th-place time
of 26:51, and Nick Kruse finished
45th in 27:31. Sophomore R.D.
Goodright placed 46th in 27:44 while
senior Dave Mealy finished 57th with
a time of 27:49.
Gina Mavrikis was the second finisher for the women with a
55th-place time of 23:33 while
Marielle Glanz placed 130th in
25:28. Freshman Amy Moore finished
151st with a time of 26:30, and
Debbie Breunig rounded out the
scorers with a 168th-place time of
27:45.
The Penguins will compete at the Notre Dame Invitational on
Friday at 4:15 p.m. |
