Kruse Posts Season-Best Time at Notre Dame Invitational

    South, Bend, Ind -- Youngstown State senior Nick Kruse ran his best time of the season with a 40th-place time of 25:50 on Friday afternoon at the Notre Dame Invitational.
    Senior Marielle Glanz was the top finisher for the women's squad for the first time this season, clocking in with a 109th-place time of 19:47.
    Also for the men's squad, Justin Dickman placed 106th with a time of 26:36, and J.D. Sheppard finished 110th in 26:42. Dan Nemergut finished 127th in 26:53 while R.D. Goodright placed 134th in 26:58.
    On the women's side, Lisa Lee finished 132nd with a time of 20:11, and Laura Yamsak was 162nd with a time of 21:12. Amy Moore finished 168th with a time of 21:27, and Jen Roman rounded out the scoring five with a 169th-place time of 21:28.
    The Penguins will compete at the All-Ohio Championship on Oct. 6 at 2 p.m.
