Jon and Jennifer Arnold Scholarship to Enhance Athletics Scholarship Fund

The Youngstown State University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is pleased to announce the Jon and Jennifer Arnold Scholarship to enhance the YSU Athletics Scholarship Endowment Fund.

This scholarship was established in 2018 by Jon and Jennifer Arnold. Jon and Jennifer Arnold are the co-founders of The J. Arnold Wealth Management Company, LLC. They are both proud graduates of the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.

While attending YSU, Jon Arnold worked full-time, as many as 50 hours a week, along with being a full-time student. He balanced academics and an early career confirming his belief that one can accomplish anything if they work hard enough. Jennifer Arnold managed four local banks in the Mahoning Valley prior to starting the J. Arnold Wealth Management Company.

The Arnold’s have a deep passion for giving back to the community. This scholarship is symbolic of their will to succeed and their belief in young people. Their company is built on hard work, dedication, and a commitment to helping others. The hallmark of the J. Arnold Wealth Management Company is evident in their company’s rise from humble beginnings to now thriving in two states.

This scholarship will be for a student-athlete majoring in Business, with a preference that he or she works for a local employer along with being in good academic standing.

Jon and Jennifer believe in giving back and feel it’s part of their journey in life.

"Giving back to Youngstown State University, where we met, and graduated from is very special to us,” the Arnold’s said. "The core of our philosophical giving is centered around higher education, for a student in need of a little help on their journey to better themselves."

Paul McFadden, President of the YSU Foundation, said Jon and Jennifer Arnold are two highly-respected people and YSU is grateful for their contribution.

“Jon and Jennifer Arnolad have worked very hard to be successful while being very supportive of the local community,” McFadden said. “They have a strong commitment to the Mahoning Valley and we are very fortunate to have them endow a scholarship here at Youngstown State.”

Once determined, a plaque with a photo of the 2018-19 recipient will be displayed in the Stambaugh Stadium Scholarship Loge Complex.
