An overnight snowfall combined with February-like weather has forced a cancelation of the Youngstown State baseball team's series finale with Oakland that was scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Eastwood Field.

Weather largely affected the series between the Penguins and Golden Grizzlies. It was originally scheduled to be played at Oakland, but it was moved to Eastwood Field due to unplayable conditions in Rochester, Mich. YSU and Oakland battled cold temperatures throughout a doubleheader split on Friday, and a wintry mix began toward the end of game two.

The Penguins and Golden Grizzlies are scheduled to play a three-game series at the Oakland Baseball Field on May 4-6.
