Inclement weather has forced changes to the Youngstown State baseball team's Horizon League series with Oakland scheduled for this weekend.

This weekend's series, which was originally scheduled to be played at Oakland, will now take place at Eastwood Field due to heavy rain and snow throughout the state of Michigan. The Penguins and Golden Grizzlies will play a doubleheader on Friday at 1 p.m. and a single game on Saturday at 2 p.m.

The venue change for this weekend also flips the location of the second series between the programs. YSU and Oakland are now scheduled to play at Oakland Baseball Field on May 4-6 in Rochester, Mich., instead of at Eastwood Field.

This is the fourth straight weekend that the Penguins have been forced to make changes to a Horizon League series due to weather.

Weather-related schedule updates for the Youngstown State baseball team this week and throughout the season will be posted on and @YSUBaseball on Twitter.
