The Youngstown State baseball coaching staff will host prospect camps in October and December for players to showcase their skills and develop their talents with elite instruction from the Penguins' coaches.

The first camp will be on Sunday, Oct. 21, and the second will occur on Sunday, Dec. 9. Both camps will take place at the Watson and Tressel Training site (WATTS) on the YSU campus. Camps will be open to players in grades 8-12 plus junior college freshmen and sophomores.

Each camp will offer two sessions. The morning session will go from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and will focus on pitching and defense. The three-hour afternoon session will begin at 1 p.m. and will focus on hitting.

The cost is $100 for one session or $150 for both on each of the camp dates. Lunch will be provided for campers who attend both sessions. A written evaluation from Head Coach Dan Bertolini is also available for an additional $25. For YSU employee and sibling discounts, please email ysupenguinsbaseball@gmail.com.

Early-bird special pricing is currently available through Sept. 3. For early registrants, the cost is $75 for one session or $125 for both on each of the camp dates.

For more information or to register, go to penguinscamps.com or email coach Eric Smith at emsmith08@ysu.edu.

YSU camps are open to any and all participants, limited only by number, age, grade level, and/or gender as required by NCAA rules.
