Youngstown State baseball players Nick LaBrasca and Cameron Murray were each named to all-star teams in their respective summer leagues after solid first halves of the season.

LaBrasca, who will be a sophomore for the Penguins in 2019, was an all-star and a Home Run Derby participant for the West team in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League. This season for the Geneva RedWings, LaBrasca is hitting an impressive .364 over 99 at bats. The first baseman has hit two home runs and four doubles to go along with 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored.

LaBrasca was named to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team for YSU in 2018 after batting .277 and slugging .422.

Murray, who will be a redshirt-junior outfielder at Youngstown State in 2019, was an all-star for the South squad in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. Murray, who sat out in 2018 after transferring from Alderson Broaddus, is batting .333 with 16 runs scored and 10 stolen bases for the Xenia Scouts. He ranks second in the league with four sacrifice bunts, and he's added five doubles and a home run.
