YSU Baseball Coaching Staff to Host Two Summer Camps

The Youngstown State baseball coaching staff will be hosting a Summer Prospect Camp on June 24 at Eastwood Field, and a Youth Summer Skills Series on July 17 at the Watson and Tressel Training Site (WATTS) on the YSU campus.

The Summer Prospect Camp is a great opportunity to receive elite instruction from the YSU baseball coaching staff and current players. This camp is designed for the player that wants to take their game to the next level.

The Summer Prospect Camp will feature a pitching and defense session in the morning, and a hitting session in the afternoon. The pitching and defense session will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with check-in at 8:15. The hitting session will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. with check-in at 12:15. Both sessions will be open to players in grades 8-12 and junior college players. The cost is $100 for each individual session or $150 for both sessions.

The Youth Summer Skills Series is designed for the young baseball player looking to improve their skills while working hard and having fun. Campers will receive elite instruction from the YSU baseball coaching staff and current players in the areas of pitching, defense and hitting. The camp is open to players in grades K-6, and the cost is $60. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. with check-in at 8:45.
