The 16th-ranked Youngstown State football team continues its three-game homestand on Saturday when the Penguins play host to Butler. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium. Tickets are available by calling the YSU Athletic Ticket Office at (330) 941-1978.
The Penguins evened their record at 1-1 with a home-opening 34-23 win over Duquesne last Saturday. YSU had a great start to the contest building a 28-0 lead in the second quarter. The Dukes were a formidable foe, but in the end the Guins were able to earn an 11-point victory and win their 19th consecutive home opener.
Butler, a 2013 FCS Playoff participant, enters the contest with a 1-0 record after beating Wittenberg last Saturday. The Bulldogs shared the Pioneer Football League title in 2013 and won nine games during the year.

Highlighting the pregame festivities is the State Farm Kids Day's in the M-7 Rulli Brothers Tailgate Lot. Kids Day as well as a performance by Guys Without Ties are set to begin at 1 p.m.
Joining the YSU Marching Pride in performing at halftime is the Howland High School Marching Band.
It is just the second all-time meeting between the Penguins and Bulldogs. YSU won the only contest between the school's on Sept. 11, 2010 at Stambaugh Stadium. In the first home contest under Head Coach Eric Wolford, the Guins prevailed 31-7 that evening.
