The Youngstown State football program will have six senior captains for the 2014 campaign, Head Coach Eric Wolford announced on Wednesday. On offense, TE Nate Adams and WRs Christian Bryan and Jelani Berassa were selected. On defense, FS Donald D'Alesio, DT Octavius Brown and CB Julius Childs were picked.

The Penguins voted for the team captains on Monday night and the team was informed about the selections on Tuesday.

Berassa and D'Alesio were named team captains last year while Adams, Bryan, Brown and Childs are serving for the first time.

Four of the six captains have been with the Penguins for four seasons. Berassa will be playing his sixth in 2014, Adams and D'Alesio are in their fifth campaigns and Bryan is entering his fourth. Childs is a two-year starter at cornerback and will be in his third year with the program. Brown is in his second season with the program.

Penguin Club memberships and season-ticket packages are still available to support the team.
