Penguins Have First Workout in Windy, Chilly Texas

Frisco, Texas - The Youngstown State football team had a short workout at one of the practice fields located near Toyota Stadium on a chilly and windy Thursday morning.

YSU arrived at the stadium around 9:30 a.m. The team and coaching staff were able to get a look at the facility and have a group photo taken in the stadium.

After the photo, the team practiced for about 30 minutes in windy and chilly conditions at Practice Field No. 7 located a short walk from the stadium.

Following the practice members of the team spoke with the regional, national and local media who were on hand for post-practice interviews.

The Penguins have a community service event following by the Texas BBQ Bowl scheduled for later on Thursday.

YSU will practice one final time on Friday at 2:30 p.m. Central time.

The Penguins are going for their fifth FCS National Championship on Saturday when they take on James Madison in the 2017 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game.
