Former Penguins linebacker Jonathan Pollock is in his first year as an undergraduate coach. Pollock will work with linebackers coach Sean Baker and assist the defense.
A native of Orlando, Fla., Pollock spent two seasons as a linebacker for the Penguins. He began collegiate career at Rutgers before transferring to Youngstown State in the fall of 2016.
Pollock, a graduate of Dr. Phillips High School, was an all-districk pick as a prep linebacker. He had an outstanding sophomore and junior season before his senior year was hampered by injuries. In his two years as a full-time starter, he registered 180 total tackles and 14 sacks. He earned all-state honors in 2013. Pollock was a three-star recruit out of Florida ranking as one of the top 150 recruits in the state.
He is majoring in Criminal Justice at YSU.
