The Horizon League announced its complete 2018-19 men's basketball schedule Wednesday afternoon. Youngstown State will play each league team twice, including two games in the month of December at the Beeghly Center.
The Penguins will open league play at home for just the third time since 2008-09 when they entertain Detroit Mercy (Dec. 28) and Oakland (Dec. 30.).
The next four consecutive and seven of the next nine contests are on the road beginning with a swing through Wisconsin to take on Green Bay (Jan. 3) and Milwaukee (Jan. 5). The Penguins head to the Windy City for a matchup at UIC (Jan. 10) and then visit IUPUI (Jan. 12) in Indianapolis, Ind.
YSU returns home to host Wright State (Jan. 17) and Northern Kentucky (Jan. 19) before three straight road contests at Cleveland State (Jan. 26), at Oakland (Jan. 31) and at Detroit Mercy (Feb. 2).
The Penguins play the five of their last seven games at the Beeghly Center beginning with a four-game homestand against Milwaukee (Feb. 7), Green Bay (Feb. 9), IUPUI (Feb. 14) and UIC (Feb. 16).
After a pair of road games at Northern Kentucky (Feb. 21) and Wright State (Feb. 23), the Penguins close out the regular season hosting Cleveland State (March 2).
