Penguins Conclude Competition at the Villanova Wildcats Invitational

Malvern, Pa. -- The Youngstown State men's golf team placed 10th at the 15-team Villanova Wildcats Invitational which concluded on Tuesday at the White Manor Country Club.

Leading the way for the Penguins was Bryan Yeo who tied for 30th with a three-round total of 233 (75-79-79). Senior Anthony Conn tied for 31st with a 234 (78-79-77), Mark Olbrych tied for 56th with a 242 while Joe Santisi and Trevor Jones both carded 245's.

Ohio State won the team competition with an 890. YSU was one shot behind Siena, two behind Bucknell and eight behind Rhode Island. The Buckeyes finished 11 strokes in front of Delaware and 12 ahead of Villanova.

Monday's first two rounds were played with temperatures in the high 40s and wind gusts in the 30-40 mph range. Conn did not finish his second round Monday and had to finish this morning.
