Richmond, Ky. - The Youngstown State men's golf team placed 16th at the 18-team Eastern Kentucky Invitational which concluded on Sunday afternoon at the University Club at Arlington.
The Penguins finished with a three-round score of 887 with rounds of 300, 292 and 295. Eastern Kentucky won the event by 14 strokes with an impressive 828.
Leading the way for the Penguins was sophomore Dom Carano who had a three-round score of 218 (73-71-78) to place 41st. Sophomore Jason McQuown was 52nd with a 220 (75-73-72), Thomas Lydic placed 73rd with a 225 (76-74-75), Steven Sveda was 77th firing a 226 (78-74-74) and Evan Standohar finished 81st with a 227 (76-74-77).
The Penguins are next in action on Sept. 25-26 at the Northern Kentucky Collegiate Classic in Batavia, Ohio.
