Charleston, W. Va. - The Youngstown State men's golf team opened their fall slate by competing at the 54-hole Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational which concluded on Tuesday at the Berry Hills Country Club.
The Penguins finished 16th in the 16-team field with a three-round total of 905. YSU had rounds of 300 and 294 on Monday before carding a final round 311 on Tuesday. Eastern Kentucky won the event with a three-round score of 833 while Virginia Tech was second and Dayton was third.
The top individual finisher for the Guins was Dominic Carano who was 57th with a three-round total of 224 (75-72-77). Jason McQuown was 63rd with a 226 (76-73-77), Evan Standohar finished 76th with a 230 (74-75-82), Steven Sveda was 79th carding a 231 (74-75-82), Jacob Harrah was 85th with a 235 (75-75-83) and Justin Hallapy was 89th with a 235 (75-74-86).
