2017-18 (Junior): Participated in seven tournaments and 19 rounds…averaged 78.4 strokes per round...was YSU’s top finisher in his first action of the season at the NKU Fall Classic…carded a three-round total of 225 (74-74-77) to finish tied for 29th…posted the team’s lowest score in each of the first two rounds…shot a season-low round of 74 on four different occasions...earned his third letter.

2016-17 (Sophomore): Played in seven tournaments and saw action in 20 rounds....averaged 78.6 strokes per round...was the Penguins' top finisher in the first two events of the year...at the Cleveland State Invitational carded a three-round 222 with a low score of 70 during the second round to place 28th...had a two-round score of 171 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational...had rounds of 88 and 83 at the event...earned his second letter.

2015-16 (R-Freshman): Played in two tournaments and saw action in five rounds...averaged 80.2 strokes per round...at the Colgate Invitational carded a three-round 243 with a low score of 78 during the second round...had a two-round 158 at the Dayton Flyer Invitational...had rounds of 80 and 78 at the event...earned his first letter.

2014-15 (Freshman): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior, was the medalist at sectionals with a round of 72...won the Canfield Invitational and the Western Reserve Invitational...finished as the runner-up at the JFK Invitational as well...posted a 36.3 average per nine holes and helped the Cardinals to the All-American Conference, Upper Tier co-championship...was a first-team All-Northeast Ohio and All-American Conference honoree as a junior and senior...a district qualifier as a junior and senior, narrowly missed qualifying for the state tournament both years...in 2013, was three shots off the pace and as a junior was just two out...was a four-year letterwinner...coach was John Metzinger.

PERSONAL: Major is economics...is the 2017-18 recipient of the Dover Club Scholarship.

Why I chose YSU: I chose YSU because it was the perfect fit for me. The Williamson College of Business Administration is better than any I’ve ever seen and the golf team not only competes at the highest amateur level, but continues to provide me with awesome teammates.

The best thing about Coach Joy is: He pushes you to be the best person you can be. This extends well beyond the links. 

The best thing about being a Penguin golfer: All of the incredible places we travel and the memories made.  

The best thing about going to school at YSU is: All of the incredible opportunities at the Williamson College of Business Administration and the skills learned from being a student athlete. 

At 150 yards, I pull out my: Depends on wind, pin location, and lie.

My golf superstitions/rituals are: Draw a line and circles on my golf ball and I only use balls numbered 1 or 4.

My greatest sports moment: Sinking a six-footer to win the Ohio Junior Public Links in a playoff on the first hole.

Best career competitive round: 67 

Hobbies: Sporting clays, billiards and reading.

Post-college plans/ambitions: I plan to attend law school and earn a Juris Doctor in corporate mergers and acquisitions along with securities law.
