The Youngstown State men's golf team will be competing in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va. beginning on Sunday. The event will feature a large, competitive field of 24 teams in total.
Schools competing include the host William & Mary, Air Force, Appalachian State, Binghamton, Delaware, Drexel, Eastern Michigan, Fairleigh Dickinson, Fort Wayne, George Washington, Iona, Longwood, Loyola, Old Dominion, Radford, Seton Hall, Southern Illinois, St. Bonaventure, St. Francis (Pa.), St. Joseph's, Towson, Utah Valley and Xavier.
Head Coach Tony Joy has announced that YSU's lineup will include Dominic Carano, Justin Hallapy, C.J. Hughes, Ken Keller and Kevin Scherr. The Penguins have used the same team lineup in each of their first two events this spring. Tee times for Sunday's first round are listed below.
- Hughes - 9:30 a.m.
- Scherr - 9:40 a.m.
- Keller - 9:50 a.m.
- Carano - 10:00 a.m.
- Hallapy - 10:10 a.m.
The teams will play 54 holes over three days, 18 holes each on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Tee times will begin at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday and Monday while a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. is set for Tuesday. The Penguins will be paired with Binghamton, Iona and St. Bonaventure.
The event will be played on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort which will play approximately 6,794 yards and par is 70. Live scoring for the event will be available via BirdieFire.
