Men’s Golf to Begin Season Sunday at Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate

The Youngstown State men's golf team will begin their 2017-18 season on Sunday, Sept. 3 with the Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate in Verona, N.Y.

The event will be played on the Kaluhyat Course at the Turning Stone Resort and will feature 14 other schools including Missouri, Western Carolina, Bucknell, Alabama State, Binghamton, Boston College, VCU, Cleveland State, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Sacred Heart, St. Peter's, UNC Wilmington and Villanova.

The Penguins will be paired with fellow Horizon League members Cleveland State and IUPUI. Players in the YSU lineup will include senior Justin Hallapy, junior Jason McQuown, freshman Kevin Scherr, freshman Ken Keller and freshman C.J. Hughes.

The Kaluhyat Course will play 7,105 yards and par is 72. The Penguins will play 36 holes on Sunday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. and return to play another 18 holes on Monday.
