The Youngstown State men's golf team will be competing in the Wright State Invitational presented by Chartwells at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio on Sunday and Monday.
This will be YSU's final event before the Horizon League Championships which begin April 22 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
The Penguins will be playing in the state of Ohio for the first time since the Cleveland State Invitational in early October. The team has played events in West Virginia, Michigan, Nevada, Georgia, Virginia and Maryland since then.
The field will feature 10 other schools including Butler, Fort Wayne, Green Bay, IUPUI, Northern Kentucky, Otterbein, Robert Morris, Valparaiso, Wittenberg and Wright State.
Head Coach Tony Joy has announced that YSU's lineup will include Dominic Carano, Justin Hallapy, C.J. Hughes, Ken Keller, Jason McQuown and Kevin Scherr. The teams will play six golfers and five scores will be counted toward the team total.
The teams will play 36 holes on Sunday and 18 on Monday with shotgun starts at 9 a.m. each day. The course at Heatherwoode Golf Club will play approximately 6,754 yards and par is 71.
