Chicago, Ill. -- The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 Horizon League decision at UIC on Saturday afternoon at the Hinsdale Racquet Club.
Sophomore Tariq Ismail was the lone Guin to win a set, but lost in a tiebreaker. After losing the first set 6-2 to Sebastian Lystad, Ismail rallied to take the second set 6-2. In the tiebreaker Lystad was able to fight off Ismail 12-10 to earn the win.
UIC swept the other five singles matches two sets to none. The Flames also won all three doubles matches, but Ismail and Tariq Rosa pushed Luis Gonzaga and Scott Shepardson to a tiebreaker before falling 8-7 (4).
The Penguins return to action on Saturday, April 10 when they play host to Butler at the YSU Tennis Courts. The match is set to start at 2 p.m.
