Penguins Drop Home Finale to Wright State

Boardman -- The Youngstown State men's tennis team closed out the home portion of its season falling to Wright State, 7-0. Tariq Ismail competed closely with Wright State's Nick Camilleri losing 6-4 in the first set before losing 6-2 in the second set in action at No. 1 singles.

The Raiders' Tore Waldhausen defeated Felipe Rosa 6-2, 6-3 in singles No. 2.

At No. 3, Patrick Hamning suffered a 6-0, 6-2 loss to Landon Neuman. Rob Emig, Chris Leson and Matt McElroy also suffered defeats in singles action.

Rosa and Ismail competed in doubles action together and fell to Camilleri and Kruusmagi in a close 8-6 decision. Hamning and Emig lost an 8-3 match against Waldhausen/Dredge. Leson and McElroy also lost 8-3 to Evan Neuman and Landon Neuman.

The final match of the regular season is next Sunday at Detroit.
