Tariq Ismail, Felipe Rosa Pick Up Wins in Loss to Niagara

Boardman -- The Youngstown State men's tennis team picked up two singles wins over Niagara on Saturday night at the Boardman Tennis Center. However, the Penguins suffered a 5-2 setback to the Purple Eagles.

Tariq Ismail improved to 5-0 this spring by defeating NU's Jeremy Quiroz 6-4, 6-7, 10-2 at No. 1 singles. Newcomer Felipe Rosa earned his first collegiate victory beating David Lemieux 6-1, 7-6 at No. 2 singles play.

The Purple Eagles won the next four singles matches and claimed the doubles point as well.

The Penguins return to action next Saturday when they visit Dayton.
