YSU Drops Match at Butler on Friday

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Butler on Friday at the Butler Tennis Bubble.

The Penguins dropped the doubles point and took two of the six singles matches to three sets.

At No. 1, Joao Garretto dropped the first set 6-4 before winning set two 6-3. Butler's Mason Dragos won the third and deciding set 7-5. At No. 2, Vasilis Vardakis forced a third set after losing his first set 7-6 to Aviv Ben Shabat. Vardakis won the second set 7-5, before dropping a 10-7 third set.

The Penguins return to action on Saturday when they take on Indianapolis at 9 a.m.
