Griffith, Ind. - The Youngstown State men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Valpariso on Saturday afternoon. The Penguins won the doubles point against the Crusaders.
Valparaiso (3-1) won all six singles contests to earn the win. At No. 3, Vasilis Vardakis dropped a hard-fought three-set match against Kweisi Kenyatte. Vardakis won the first set 7-6 before dropping the second set 7-5. In the third-set tiebreaker, Kenyatte won 10-8.
The Penguins (2-3) are next in action on Friday when they play host to Toledo in Streetsboro.
