The Youngstown State tennis programs are under the direction of Head Coach Mickael Sopel. Both programs have taken huge leaps forward in a short time under Sopel's direction. The women's program won the Horizon League and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever in 2014, and the men's program played in the Horizon League semifinals for the first time.
