Akron, Ohio -- Youngstown State outfielders Jordan Ingalls and Haley Thomas have been selected to play for the NE Ohio Collegiate All-Star Team that is slated to face the Akron Racers in an exhibition game, Monday, June 4, at 7:05 p.m. at Firestone Stadium.
Thomas, who was named the 2012 Horizon League Player of the Year and First-Team All-Horizon League, was named NFCA All-Midwest Region Second-Team this past season.
Thomas also finished her career as the only player in school history to record at least 200 hits, 25 home runs, 45 doubles, 25 stolen bases and a batting average above .360.
Thomas ended the season with a .431 batting average and set the single-season hits (72), stolen bases (15) and runs (42) records. Her batting average is also the second-highest single-season average in school history.
She also ranked second on the single-season doubles list with 17 and her 40 RBI's ranks tied for second.
Ingalls, a two-time All-Horizon League First-Team selection in 2011 and 2012, batted .409 this season and finished her career as the school's all-time leader with a .365 career batting average.
Ingalls also eclipsed the former hits record of 64 with 70 hits and ranks second in the single-season list.
Ingalls 116 career runs batted in also ranks second on the career list and her 228 hits rank third all-time.
