Youngstown State softball Head Coach Brian Campbell announced Wednesday that former standout Stevie Taylor has joined the staff as a volunteer assistant coach.
Taylor was a four-year letterwinner for the Penguins and appeared in 178 games between 2015-18. Taylor finished her career with 18 home runs, 21 doubles, 76 runs and 79 runs batted in. Her 18 home runs rank tied for ninth all-time.
During the 2018 season, Taylor belted a career-best seven home runs and 24 RBIs. She batted .325 with five home runs during her freshman year and hit .312 with four homers in 2016.
Taylor helped the Penguins to 103 wins during her four years and was a member of the 2017 Horizon League Tournament Runner-Up squad.
Taylor graduated from Youngstown State in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
