Anne Dubovec is in her second season as an assistant coach on the Youngstown State softball staff.

Dubovec was a four-year letterwinner at Robert Morris and spent 2012 as a student assistant for the Colonials.

Ddubovec, who is originally from Chagrin Falls, Ohio, will serve as the Penguins' pitching coach, assist with the hitters and serve as the liaison for community service and camps.

Last season, pitcher Casey Crozier posted a career-best 16 victories and guided the Penguins to Horizon League Tournament Championship Game. Crozier was also an All-Horizon League Second-Team and All-Tournament Team selection.

In 2012 at Robert Morris, Dubovec edited and analyzed game video to develop scouting reports and assist hitters and pitchers fundamentally.

As a player, Dubovec was a four-year letterwinner and earned Capital One/CoSIDA Academic All-America First-Team honors in 2011 and was a two-time All-Northeast Conference First-Team pick.

For her career, Dubovec batted .338 with 17 home runs, 91 runs batted in and 158 hits. She also pitched more than 300 innings with 76 appearances and 41 starts.

Dubovec was also the 2010 and 2011 NEC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Anne graduated with her bachelor's degree from Robert Morris in 2011.
