Raleigh, N.C. — The Youngstown State men and women's track and field teams finished day two of the Raleigh Relays this afternoon at NC State. YSU had three top 10 finishers for the day that included senior Bobby Grace and sophomores Connor Neu and Nina Grambling.
Grace and Neu competed in the men's hammer throw for the Penguins and both managed to slip in the top eight. This was Grace's first time throwing in the event for this outdoor season and Neu's second. Neu had the better throw of the two as he had a heave of 60.70 meters to finish in fourth place and Grace had a throw of 56.20 meters to finish in seventh place.
Grambling had her best time of the outdoor season in the 100-meter dash today as she posted a time of 11.86 seconds to seal the seventh place spot. Grambling beat her last meet time of 11.94 seconds which she ran at the Coastal Carolina Invitational.
Juniors Jessica Parham and Kevin McCulloh both participated in the javelin and both finished in 12th place. Parham had a throw that went 37.91 meters while McCulloh had a toss of 55.07 meters.
The track and field teams will continue their season at the Northeast Ohio Quad next Friday and Saturday in Akron, Ohio at the Lee R. Jackson Track & Field Complex
