The Youngstown State track and field coaching staff will host four camps over the summer at the Watson and Tressel Training Site on campus for students in grades 7-12.

There will be three separate day camps on July 14, 15 and 16 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Campers will receive a personal evaluation and individual instruction on improving jumping, throwing, hurdling and pole vault mechanics as well as drills for enhancement. There will be a focus on developing fundamental skills for success through live jumps, throws and hurdling. Pole vault training will only be available on July 15 and July 16. There will also be a camp specifically for high jumps and throws on July 14 from 6-9 p.m.

The cost for each camp is $85, and there is a $10 discount for registration by June 15. The cost for two sessions is $150 and $215 for three.

Registration is available on penguinstrackcamps.com. For more information, contact camp director Katrina Brumfield at kbrumfield@ysu.edu.
