Penguins Have Final Competitions Before HL Championships

Select members of the Youngstown State men's and women's track and field team were in action at meets in the Midwest. 

At the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind., Arnaldo Morales and Ryan Booth were in action. Morales cleared a best height of 2.04m in the high jump. Booth finished first among five competitors in the shot put with a throw of 17.42m. 

At the Kent State Tune Up, the Penguins competed in one distance race.

In the mile run, Ryan Sullivan placed fourth with a time of 4:15.82 to lead the pack. Alan Burns was fifth with a 4:17.22 and Dylan Dombi was seventh clocking a 4:20.93.

The Penguins are next in action a week from today when they play host to the two-day Horizon League Indoor Track and Field Championships at the WATTS.
