The Youngstown State Track and Field program will compete in 10 meets, while hosting four of their own during the 2018-19 indoor season, head coach Brian Gorby announced on Tuesday.
The Penguins open the indoor season with the YSU Icebreaker on Friday, December 7, at 3 p.m. from the WATTS.
YSU returns to action in 2019 when they travel to Clemson, South Carolina to compete in the Clemson Orange & Purple Elite Invitational on Friday, January 11. A week later, the Penguins return home to participate in the YSU College Invitational starting at 12 p.m. from the WATTS.
On January 25 and 26, YSU will compete in Penn State National Elite Invitational from State College, Pa.
To open a busy month of February, the Penguins will host the YSU National Mid Major Invitational on February 1 and 2 from the WATTS. Day one is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m., with day two starting at 10 a.m.
The following week, the Penguins travel to Geneva, Ohio to participate in the SPIRE NCAA D-I NCAA Invitational on February 8 and 9. They will also travel to New York City, N.Y. on February 9 to compete in the Armory Foundation Millrose Games.
YSU continues their indoor season with the Akron Zips Kangaroo Invitational on February 15 from Akron, Ohio.
YSU is set to host the Horizon League Indoor Championships on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24 from the WATTS. Both days are scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
The Penguins conclude the indoor season on March 8 & 9 when they compete in the NCAA D-I National Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama.
