Youngstown State sophomore guard Nikki Arbanas has been named to the 2016 Postseason Women's Basketball Invitational All-Tournament Team.
The top scorer in YSU's final two games, Arbanas averaged 11.3 points, 2.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals over three games in helping the Penguins advanced to the semifinals of the tournament. She made 10 3-pointers, including six in a quarterfinals victory over UMBC at Beeghly Center. Arbanas made three triples in the semifinals at Louisiana, which brought her season total to a school-record 89.
Louisiana's Keke Veal was named the WBI Most Valuable Player, and she was joined by teammates Simone Fields and Kia Wilridge on the all-tournament team. Weber State, which finished as runners-up to the Ragin' Cajuns, was represented on the all-tournament team by Deeshyra Thomas and Brittany Dunbar. Brittany Starling from USC Upstate was also honored.
