The Youngstown State women's basketball program will host area golfers in its annual outing that will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at Knoll Run Golf Course in Lowellville, Ohio.
The fund-raising event will be a four-person scramble format with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Registration and breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m.
The $340 entry fee for foursomes – or $85 for individuals – includes 18 holes of golf, a riding cart, skins and mulligans, breakfast, lunch, a buffet dinner and prizes. Guests wishing to attend only the buffet portion at 2:30 p.m. may do so for $15.
There are also four sponsorship opportunities for the outing. There is a new All-American level sponsorship available for the first time in 2016, which gives one sponsor the exclusive benefit of traveling on an overnight trip with the team during the 2016-17 season. Travel on the team's charter bus, one night stay in the team hotel and all meals for two are included. Since there is only one All-American sponsorship available, the first to contact Coach Sam Hoyt at email@example.com will receive it.
The All-American sponsor will also receive the benefits of the Horizon and Penguin Level sponsors. Those corporate partners will have their company logo included on the sponsorship banner that will be prominently displayed at the outing, a hole sign and one foursome. Horizon Level sponsors will also receive four courtside tickets to all women's basketball home games during the 2016-17 season as well as a basketball autographed by the team. The Horizon package is an investment of $1,000, and the Penguin package is an investment of $500. Hole sponsorships are available for $100, and prize donations are also appreciated.
There will also be a Penguin auction with a chance to win great prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets will be sold throughout the day, and winners will be drawn at dinner.
