The Youngstown State women's basketball team will host Washington & Jefferson College in an exhibition contest tonight at Beeghly Center. Tipoff against the Presidents is set for 7 p.m., and admission will be free.

The Penguins are coming off a 16-16 record in the 2017-18 season that saw them win 10 of their final 14 games during a late push. YSU won a game in the Horizon League Tournament as the No. 5 seed and went on to play in the Women's Basketball Invitational. Youngstown State returns three seniors, a junior and two sophomores from last year's squad.

Washington & Jefferson went 22-6 overall and 15-3 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference in 2017-18. The Presidents were 21-3 at one point before losing three of their last four contests. Returners Danielle Parker and Lauren Gilbert both averaged more than 12.5 points per game last season.

Youngstown State's season opener will be Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Beeghly Center against Robert Morris.
