Penguins Win Two Bracket Matches to Conclude James Brown Invitational

The Youngstown State bowling team won its first two bracket matches and finished the James Brown Invitational in eighth place over the weekend. The tournament was held at AMF Towson Lanes and was hosted by Morgan State.

The Penguins began the day with a 4-2 victory over Wilmington, and they followed that up with a 4-3 win over Howard. Youngstown State’s highest game of the day, a 216, came in game two of the match against the Bison. The tournament ended with a 4-3 loss to Chestnut Hill.

Youngstown State will be idle next weekend before competing at the Hawk Flight Invite March 2-4.
