The Youngstown State bowling program is hosting a College Experience Fundraiser Tournament at Holiday Bowl on Sunday, April 28.
Participants in the tournament will get a chance to bowl in a tournament structure similar to what the Penguins experience. Teams of five will bowl on an NCAA tournament format pattern, and matches will consist of one team game and one Baker match of five Baker games. Using the total pinfall from the two sets, the top four teams will advance into a seeded bracket. Those teams will then compete in best-of-seven Baker matches to determine the winner, and prizes will be awarded to the top four teams.
In addition to competition, items will be raffled off. All proceeds will benefit the YSU bowling team.
The cost to participate will be $15 per person or $75 per team. Check-in for the first session will start at 1 p.m., and practice will open at 1:45 p.m. Check-in for the second session will be at 4 p.m., and practice will begin at 4:45 p.m.
To reserve a spot in the fundraiser tournament, contact Holiday Bowl at (330) 744-1444 or email YSU head bowling coach Doug Kuberski at email@example.com
