The Youngstown State women's golf team will be competing in the Princeton University Invitational at Springdale Golf Club in Princeton, N.J. on Saturday and Sunday.
This will be the team's second 36-hole event of the season. The Penguins opened the season by winning the 36-hole Roseann Schwartz Invitational before playing 54 holes at the NKU Fall Classic and at Penn State's Nittany Lion Invitational.
The field will feature 11 other teams including Columbia, Dartmouth, Georgetown, Harvard, Navy, Penn State, Princeton, Rollins, Seton Hall, Penn and Yale. The Penguins will be paired with Columbia and Navy.
Head Coach Nate Miklos has announced that the YSU lineup will include Katlyn Shutt, Puthita Khuanrudee, Victoria Grans, Megan Creager and Rattika Sittigool. Shutt, Khuanrudee, Grans and Creager have each competed in all three of the team's events this fall while Sittigool will be in the lineup for the third time.
Comments from Coach Miklos: "We had a very strong showing this past weekend at Penn State and we're excited to have the opportunity to travel to Princeton for the first time. We'll be playing against a very strong field again this week. I've been very pleased with the continued progress we've made this fall and I think we're very close to playing some great golf."
