Women's Golf Continues Fall Slate Saturday at Nittany Lion Invitational

The Youngstown State women's golf team will continue its fall schedule on Saturday with the 2018 Nittany Lion Invitational hosted by Penn State at the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.

The field features 15 other teams including Akron, Bucknell, Columbia, Georgetown, High Point, Penn State, University of Pennsylvania, Rollins, Rutgers, Santa Clara, Seton Hall, Navy, Washington, Xavier and Yale.

Head Coach Nate Miklos has announced that the YSU lineup will feature Katlyn Shutt, Puthita Khuanrudee, Victoria Grans, Megan Creager and Jenna Vivo. All five golfers have competed in each of the team's first two events this fall while Creager is the only player in the lineup who played at the same event last season.

Shutt earned medalist honors and set numerous school records in the team's fall debut at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational while Grans tied for third. Khuanrudee has earned a pair of top-10 finishes while Creager and Vivo and have each cracked the top 20 once. In addition to her third-place finish, Grans tied for 16th at the NKU Fall Classic.

The teams will play the first two rounds on Saturday before returning to play the final 18 holes on Sunday. Shotgun starts are scheduled for 9 a.m. each day. The course will play approximately 6,321 yards and par is 72. Live scoring will be available via GolfStat.com and the GolfStat mobile app.
