The Youngstown State women's soccer program has added Kendra Pampus to their incoming 2019 recruiting class, Head Coach Brian Shrum announced on Friday.
"We are so excited to add Kendra to our talented group of incoming 2019 class," Shrum said. "Kendra brings a defensive presence which will allow our attacking players to play higher up the field.
"She is strong and has good 1v1 defending abilities. She will help fill the void of a pair of departing seniors."
Pampus played her high school soccer career at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon, Pa. As a defender, she helped her team win the 2015 league championship and a pair of sectional championships (2015, 2016).
A two-year team captain for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds, her club team, and a two-time US club regional champion, Pampus joins the Penguins ranked as number 17 in the TopDrawer Soccer's regional player rankings.
