Women's Soccer Plays to a 0-0 Draw With St. Bonnaventure

Allegany, New York - Sophmore goalkeeper Kate McEachern recorded six saves to help the Youngstown State women's soccer team to a 0-0 tie against St. Bonaventure on Friday evening at the Marra Sports Complex.

The Penguins move to 1-2-2 while the Bonnies go to 0-2-3.

Each team had their scoring chances during the first 90 minutes of action, but neither team was able to put one in the back of the net. During the first 10-minute overtime period, the Bonnies registered five shots including four on goal which were all saved by McEachern. In the second overtime period, YSU recorded two shots but neither were able to find the back of the net.

For the game, St. Bonaventure outshot YSU 18-14 and registered more corner kicks, 7-4. 11 different Penguins recorded shots for YSU including Luca Fahmer, Lauren Snow and Lexi Neal who each had two shots. 

The Penguins stay on the road as they travel to Akron on Sunday to play the the Zips at 1 p.m. from FirstEnergy Stadium.
