Women's Soccer Falls at Bowling Green

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's soccer team was defeated by Bowling Green 6-0 on Sunday afternoon from Mickey Cochrane Field.

The Penguins fall to 1-7-2 while Bowling Green improves to 2-4-2.

The Falcons scored two goals first half off the foot of Chelsee Washington. Washington scored off a free kick in the 20th minute and then again in the 24th minute to give Bowling Green a 2-0 lead. Bowling Green added four goals in the second half to secure a 6-0 victory.

Bowling Green outshot YSU 40-1 and had more corner kick opportunities, 13-0.

The Penguins are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 22 when they travel to Northern Kentucky to take on the Norse at 4 p.m.
