Women's Soccer Selected Ninth in Preseason Horizon League Poll

The Youngstown State women's soccer team was picked to finish ninth in the Horizon League after a vote by the league's head coaches.

Under the direction of head coach Brian Shrum, the Penguins finished ninth in the league last year with a record of 1-13-3 (0-7-2). Milwaukee was picked to win the 2019 championship after recieving eight first-place votes as the Panthers return Freshman of the Year, Haley Johnson, from the 2018 team that won the regular and postseason titles with a conference mark of 9-0.

The Penguins open the 2019 season on Friday, August 23 when they host Purdue Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. from Farmers National Bank Field in the Covelli Sports Complex.
