Viktoria Orosz won two events while Bethany Glick won the three-meter dive and Rachel Shipp won the 200-yard butterfly as the YSU swimming and diving team continued a busy weekend against IUPUI on Saturday afternoon at the Beeghly Natatorium.
Orosz won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.27, winning by more than two seconds. She capped off her meet with a first-place finish in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:11.96. She finished second in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:13.32.
Bethany Glick had a strong performance in the three-meter dive with a score of 264.75 to win the event.
In a close race in the 100-yard breaststroke, Hannah Reynolds was second with a time of 1:09.43 just behind the winning time of 1:08.81 by IUPUI's Claudia Crawford. Reynolds also placed second to Crawford in the 200-yard breast with a time of 2:32.15.
Fisher was second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.26 seconds while Shipp was third with a time of 59.36 seconds.
Kolbrun Jonsdottir was third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 25.31 seconds while Allison Lenning was third in the 100-yard free clocking a time of 54.95 seconds.
The Penguins clocked a time of 1:51.06 in the 200-yard medley relay to begin the meet and had a 3:38.34 in the 400-yard freestyle relay to conclude the competition. YSU was just behind IUPUI in the 400 free relay by .36 of a second.
The Jaguars won the dual by a score of 184-114.
YSU is back in action on Monday when it visits Cleveland State.
