The Youngstown State swimming and diving team will play host to Niagara in a dual meet on Friday at the Beeghly Natatorium. The meet will begin at 5 p.m.

The dual is the swimming and diving program's Breast Cancer Awareness meet and any proceeds raised during the event will be donated to causes for breast cancer research.

The Penguins have faced a challenging early season schedule with dual meets featuring Oakland and Ohio.

Excelling early in the season have been diver Bec Stafford and swimmers Vikotria Orosz, Madison Aranda, Kolbrun Jonsdottir and Zsani Csado

Stafford has won all five of her competitions so far in 2016. She won both events against St. Bonaventure and Oakland and won the lone diving event at Ohio.

Orosz has seven wins this season with three coming against St. Bonaventure and three coming vs. Oakland. Aranda has won five races of her own as well to start the campaign.

The Penguins have beaten Purple Eagles in six straight dual meets dating back to October 2010. YSU has won 11 of the last 12 meetings between the schools since February 2002.
