The Youngstown State swimming and diving team will play host to Oakland, the three-time defending Horizon League Champions, on Saturday at the Beeghly Natatorium. The dual is set to start at Noon. Admission is free.

The Penguins opened the season with a strong performance against St. Bonaventure last weekend. YSU won 12 of the 16 events, splitting the two relays and taking first in nine of 12 individual swimming races.

Leading the way were three-event winners Viktoria Orosz and Madison Aranda. Orosz won the 200 free with a time of 1:55.64, won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:06.34, won the 200 IM with a time of 2:10.49. Aranda won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 10:51.63, she won the 200 fly with a time of 2:10.27 and the 500-yard free with a time of 5:13.62.

Bec Stafford had a strong first meet to begin her senior season winning the one-meter and three-meter dives against the Bonnies.

Oakland and the Penguins were in action against one another on Sept. 30 at the Tom Stubbs Relays. The Golden Grizzlies have had a busy start to the campaign swimming at the Dennis Stark Relays and a dual against Notre Dame. Oakland is at Duquesne today.

This is the first dual between the Guins and Golden Grizzlies in Youngstown.
