The Youngstown State swimming and diving team earned a 154-140 victory over Saint Francis (Pa.) on Friday night the Beeghly Natatorium.
Scheringer opened the meet by setting a school record in the platform diving event. She posted a score of 213.75 in the five-day event. Two of her three attempts came from atop the 10-meter platform.
YSU then followed with a narrow victory in the 400-yard medley relay. The Guins had a time of 3:59.29 to beat SFU's top unit which came in at 4:01.09.
Fisher was a big contributor in the win with victories in the 200-yard butterfly (2:07.23), the 100-yard freestyle (54.30 seconds) and the 100-yard butterfly (59.17 seconds). Fisher had an outstanding performance in the 200 fly winning by five-and-a-half seconds.
Orosz earned first-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle (1:57.11) and the 200-yard IM. She won the 200 IM by just .12 seconds and the 200 free by .92. In the 200-yard backstroke she was just out-touched to finish second with a time of 2:08.28.
Zsani Csado claimed the Penguins' other swimming win taking first in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:30.64.
Glick had a big night in the three-meter taking first with a score of 282.98. That mark advances her to the NCAA Zone C Diving Meet in the three-meter. YSU now has five divers qualified for the NCAA Zone meet.
The Penguins, who are competing in three dual meets in a four-day span, play host to IUPUI tomorrow. The dual with the Jaguars begins at 1 p.m.
