Penguins Suffer 4-3 Setback At Dayton

Dayton, Ohio - The Youngstown State women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision to Dayton on Friday night at the Four Seasons Sports Club.

The Penguins (4-5) picked up wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 singles against the Flyers (6-5).

Dayton won the doubles point with wins at the top two spots.

In singles play, Dominika Lackova picked up a 7-5, 6-2 win over Marlys Bridgham at No. 1. At No. 2, Noelly Nsimba defeated Alex Townsend 6-4, 6-4. At No. 5, Imaan Hassim bested Natalie Allen by scores of 6-3, 6-4. In a hard-fought match at No. 3, Sofia Macias lost a 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 contest.

YSU returns to action on Saturday when it visists Ball State.
