Penguins Drop Hard Fought Match To Seton Hall, 4-3

Costa Mesa, Calif. - The Youngstown State women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback to Seton Hall on Monday. YSU won three singles contests against the Pirates.

Winning at No. 2 singles was Sofia Macias while Imaan Hassim won at No. 4 singles and Tamara Teufl won at No. 5 singles. Macias beat SHU's Melody Taal, 6-1, 6-3. Hassim beat Michal Matson in three sets pulling out a 6-4, 3-6, 6-3 triumph. At No. 5, Teufl won 6-3, 7-5.

YSU picked up a win a No. 2 doubles as Noelly Longi Nsimba and Hassim won 7-6 (3).

The Penguins are next in action on Tuesday against Cal State Northridge.
